What is Erasmus+ & The KA2 Framework?

The Erasmus+ Programme is the European Union’s flagship initiative supporting education, training, youth, and sport across Europe. While many know it for university student exchanges, it also deeply funds the youth work sector to build a more inclusive, democratic, and resilient European identity.
Our CO-A-CH-IN-G: COmpetences, Actions, CHanging - INclusion of new Generations Project is a KA220 Youth project.

Within this framework, KA2: Cooperation Partnerships in Youth (KA220-YOU) projects are designed to design, test, and scale innovative practices across international boundaries. Rather than temporary activities, KA2 grants allow organizations from different countries to pool their expertise, solve urgent societal challenges, and create high-quality, open-access educational tools for youth workers and young people across the continent.

The Power of Erasmus+ and Non-Formal Education

The Erasmus+ Programme is the European Union’s flagship initiative supporting education, training, youth, and sport across Europe. While many know it for university student exchanges, it also deeply funds the youth work sector to build a more inclusive, democratic, and resilient European identity. Involving millions of people across the EU every single year, Erasmus+ acts as a massive engine for social cohesion, empowering citizens to look beyond national borders and co-create a unified European future.

Critically, the programme fills vital systemic gaps left by traditional schooling. Where formal education systems often struggle to rapidly adapt to fast-moving societal crises or complex psychological shifts, Erasmus+ steps in to champion and legitimize non-formal education. By funding grassroots methodologies, interactive training, and community-based learning, the programme provides the flexibility needed to address missing information and outdated educational practices. It turns the entire European continent into a living laboratory for modern youth work, ensuring that no young person or youth leader is left without the tools to navigate the modern world.

Our CO-A-CH-IN-G: COmpetences, Actions, CHanging - INclusion of new Generations (CrisisAid) Project is a direct answer to this mission, operating as a targeted KA220 Youth project.

Within this framework, KA2: Cooperation Partnerships in Youth projects are precisely designed to design, test, and scale innovative practices across international boundaries. Rather than temporary activities, KA2 grants allow organizations from different countries to pool their diverse national expertise, solve urgent societal challenges like the post-pandemic mental health struggles of Generations Y and Z, and create high-quality, open-access educational tools. By developing our upcoming Handbook and Online Learning Platform, the CrisisAid project embodies the very best of the Erasmus+ spirit: transforming cross-border collaboration into tangible, freely accessible resources that empower youth workers and build long-term resilience across Europe.
